because you’re not fresh down there. (thanks Xeni)
Dowling Duncan, you’re not serious. There is no way in hell this European train ticket looking thing would ever be our next dollar. But fine, let’s just say we choose your design for the 1$ bill, what goes on the rest of them?
$1 – The first African American president
$5 – The five biggest native American tribes
$10 – The bill of rights, the first 10 amendments to the US Constitution
$20 – 20th Century America
$50 – The 50 States of America
$100 – The first 100 days of President Franklin Roosevelt.
Oh I get it. This is like Berkshares. It’s so people in who live in San Francisco, Chicago, Austin and NYC can buy each other’s ironic silk-screened t-shirts. Cool.
Thanks Village Voice!
Dis is how I be using tha twitter, bizzitches!
The writer got excoriated for that article but not because it was racist, but because it was bad. The point (such as it was), just to save you time is this: black people tend to follow other black people thus creating a situation where memes (or hashtags in this case) can flourish. But not all black people. And not all hashtags. Just some times. At least it was short, Malcolm Gladwell would have peed the bed over the course of 5,000 words.
